Concrete Slabs
in Hervey Bay
Straight, level and reliable slabs plus concrete improvements that bring older surfaces back to life.
Solid Bases, Refreshed Surfaces
Slabs & Concrete Improvements
At Mark Holstein Concreting, our concreters pour concrete slabs in Hervey Bay for sheds, workshops, garages and rural buildings, and we resurface tired existing concrete to give it a fresh, clean finish. We set up every slab from the ground level, with proper compaction, formwork, steel and finish matched to the load it will carry. Additionally, resurfacing is a smart way to lift older concrete without a full replacement.
If your project also needs a new driveway or an outdoor patio area, we can plan the whole service as one job. Ready to talk it through? Give us a ring on 0410 965 508 to book.

Ground up
Solid Base, No Surprises
Slabs live or die on ground preparation. We strip organic material, correct levels and compact the base in lifts so nothing settles later on the site. Our concreters then place steel on chairs, set formwork square and true and plan joints from the beginning rather than adding them after the fact.
On rural blocks and shed pads, we'll build in the falls, apron thickness and access points to suit real-world use, from motorbikes to loaded trailers. Where budgets are tight, or the existing slab is only cosmetically tired, resurfacing can be a cost-effective alternative that avoids a full break-out and rebuild. Reach out to get started.
Built for Sheds and Hard Use
Shed Slabs & Rural Pads
Shed slabs get everything from workshop machinery to trailers, tools and vehicles, so they need to be built for it. We size and reinforce each slab for its intended use, set the apron and access points to suit, and finish with a surface that is easy to sweep and work on. Levels are dead-on, edges are sharp, and control joints are placed so cracking stays where it belongs.

Renew Without Replacing
Concrete Resurfacing Solutions
Resurfacing brings tired-looking concrete back to life without the mess of a full replacement. We assess the existing slab, prep the surface properly, then apply a fresh concrete overlay in a finish that suits the space. It works well on patios, paths and garage floors that are structurally sound but cosmetically past their best, and it is a faster, tidier way to reset the whole look of an area.

Most residential shed slabs are poured at around 100 millimetres thick with steel mesh reinforcement, sitting on a compacted base. Slabs that carry heavier vehicles, workshop machinery or larger structures may be stepped up in thickness or reinforced further to match the actual load they need to carry.
